Good Afternoon Parents:
Hopefully everyone has relaxed from the overwhelming demands of the Spring
Fling. Previous email sent out with totals from both fields - ringing in a total of $3,582.89.
We did exceptionally well. According to Shannon's breakdown, without the entry fees, we only lost out on $1300 in profit. However, it must not go unnoticed for the many contributions and donations that we received in order to keep our expense cost as low as possible.
Thanks to Randall for securing the fish and shrimp, Greg Vercher for the hotdogs and buns, Melissa C. for all the condiments, Jenny Gilbert for the peanuts and pizza for the girls/parents plus the Snow cone stand, Joan & Lucy for the extra hamburgers, buns and ketchup, Denise for the Beau Rivage raffle and most importantly....ALL the parents who brought in their sodas, PowerAde, and side dishes or deserts. In some form of fashion, each parent played a significant role in making this event a success. We took on a huge challenge of running two different sites, and we managed to conquer it. So especially a HUGE THANKS to parents who went over and beyond the call of duty :). Yes, MANY parents worked double shifts, triple shifts, and even all day...meeting the demands of all the hungry fans...lol.
In particular, I have to take this opportunity to personally thank Mr. Jeff Lawson, Mr. Matt Moore, Mr. Jody Ewing, Mr. Dougie Parker and Mr. Tony for sacrificing their chance to see their child/children play in order to help out where we were completely shorthanded without making a complaint. They just jumped in and made it happen. Also to Denise Moore and Christine for giving up multiple days to help setup and put things in order.
Our next meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, April 10 at 6:00 in Coach Donna's classroom. This is the last meeting to determine how we are going to approach the rest of the season. I would highly appreciate if everyone will be in attendance for important information will be passed and
discussed.
Again, I sincerely appreciate all the help and everyone's contribution.

FYI...There are still tshirts to be sold if anyone hears of someone wanting one.
